How Animated Illustrations can help complete your narrative.
In the vibrant universe of documentary filmmaking, not all stories lend themselves to the luxury of historical footage. For Howie Studios’ compelling project, “Feek’s Vision,” we at Blue Dog Motion found ourselves tasked with the challenge and opportunity of visualizing such a story – one deeply rooted in the heritage of rodeo and the foresight of “Feek” Tooke.
Feek, a visionary of the 1930s, predicted the end of renegade horses as rodeo stock, prompting him to devise a breeding program for horses with an innate inclination to buck. To preserve this vital piece of rodeo history, director Ken Howie sought to create a documentary that captured Feek’s journey, for rodeo enthusiasts, horse lovers, and students of genetics alike.
Stepping in to rectify issues encountered with previous illustrators, we aimed to bring a breath of fresh air to the process. We developed a unique style for the imagery, focusing on the minutest of details, and delivered the motion files on schedule.
Director Ken Howie praised our efforts, acknowledging that our illustrations and 3D motion were integral to achieving their vision for the project. This endorsement underscores our commitment to delivering exceptional motion design services, and the value we can bring to any project that seeks to animate the past for the future.
